For the month of March, each day I am writing and posting a slice of my life, hosted by Two Writing Teachers.
March Slice of Life Challenge Day 22: American Robin
American Robin
Loud robins return
cheerily-cheerio song:
"Get up neighborhood!"
"cheerily-cheerio" made me smile; so apt for a robin's song! I have yet to see a robin in our parts this spring, and a bluejay's call is not so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWe have just seen the first robin of the season in our yard. Happiness.
ReplyDeleteNo robins here yet - love "cheerily-cheerio"!
ReplyDeleteThe birds were chirping when I left for work this morning. It is now snowing.:( I love, love, love the sound of birds in the morning. I also loved your poem! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly how they sound! The birds here are so loud and happy-sounding in the morning. They lighten my heart. As did your little verse.
ReplyDeleteI don;t mind their loudness when it is a work morning, but on the weekends I wouldn't mind their consideration; start the "singing" a little later!
ReplyDeleteLove the writing of spring!
