For the month of March, each day I am writing and posting a slice of my life, hosted by Two Writing Teachers.
Slice of Life Challenge #21 Day 31:
Easter Preparations
Mother, son, daughter,/
decorate, dye hard-boiled eggs-/
Easter traditions.
Of course there is always at least one egg casualty (see cracked egg above).
I always loved coloring eggs w/ my children. You have resurrected a memory I’ve been meaning to write about. Maybe now is the time. I struggled to find the cracked egg because I was caught in the beauty of the orange egg. This has me thinking about what I notice.
ReplyDeleteOh, I can remember poking pinholes in eggs as a child, blowing out the yolks -! This brought the memory rushing back. How precious are traditions, passed down. Thank you for ALL of your "works of heart" this month, Trina; they were a true pleasure to read!
ReplyDeleteI loved decorating eggs as a child. I would treat the eggs, the yolk blown out, like a baby and keep them in my room. I loved reading your stories this month. It was a great way to connect.
